(Personal comment: I really admire her for the way she handled everything that was thrown at her. I'm not sure I would have been able to act the way she did. And yes, there's a very nice kissing scene between the guys, but it's pretty light BL. ^^)

Summary / Synopsis :

The King and the Clown takes place in the Joseon Dynasty, like so many other generic Korean dramas, but the plot has a very original spin. The story centers on a band of impoverished traveling entertainers. The two main characters Jang-Saeng and Gong-il are lovers. It’s obvious the two have an amazing bond as they really look out for each other. They decide to go to Hanyang (now Seoul) where they can put on a bigger and better show. There, they find other talented minstrels to join their act.

In order to draw a crowd and make more money, Jang-Seang, the default leader of the troupe, decides to stage a show mocking the King and his favorite concubine Nok-Su. One of the King’s officials gets wind of the show and has the troupe arrested for treason. The official agrees to let them perform for the King with the agreement that if the King enjoys the show, their lives are spared. In fact, the true motive the official has in taking the troupe to the palace is to expose the corruption plaguing the King’s regime.

In the end of Goryeo era politically manipulated by the Yuan Dynasty, the ambitious King of the Goryeo Dynasty organizes Kunryongwe. Hong Lim, the commander of Kunryongwe, captivates the King of Goryeo, and the Queen keeps her eyes on the relationship between Hong Lim and the King with a reluctant view. Meanwhile, the bilateral relation between Goryeo and the Yuan gets worse as Yuan demands to install the cousin of the King in the Crown Prince of Goryeo with ascribing it to no son the King has. The King refuses it resolutely, so the high-ranking officials of Goryeo, who are in submission to Yuan, are discontented with the king. One day, the King gives Hong Lim a covert yet unobjectionable order to sleep with the Queen instead of himself to protect the independence of Goryeo from the Yuan by making a son, the successor to Goryeo throne.

(Gay Movie) Boy Meets Boy 2008

Casts: Kim Hyesung, Lee Hyunjin, Ye Jiwon A short film with no spoken dialogue, Boy Meets Boy depicts the relationship between Min-soo (Kim Hye-sung) and Seok-i (Lee Hyun-jin). The two come face-to-face in a bus after Min-soo drops a roll of film, which rolls to Seok-i's foot. There is an instant spark through their silent gazes. Min-soo gets off the bus after it arrives at a stop, expecting Seok-i to have followed behind. A fairy (Ye Ji-won) appears and gives Min-soo advice through a song. It is revealed through flashbacks that Seok-i has in fact been following Min-soo with the intention of giving him back his camera, which was stolen when Seok-i and his friends mugged him. As Seok-i walks away, Min-soo runs after him and they embrace.
