Originally made for the BBC Schools TV series "Scene". During Margaret Thatcher government's reign the BBC was worried by the pro-gay storyline though, made several cuts and a new "choose straight" ending. The film also had to be shown at night. It has subsequently been shown in daytime and with the cuts and ending restored. Matthew, a handsome and athletic young man who believes he's gay, manages to retain a friendship with Phil, a school friend. The relationship between the two becomes more intense, and they soon find themselves at odds with classmates and family over their sexual preferences. Full summary
